Effective Date: May 6, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to bigtime.host ("bigtime.host," "we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our website, file hosting app, APIs, custom domain features, and related services.
bigtime.host lets users upload files and zip archives, process those uploads into hosted project files, and publish the resulting content on generated subdomains or connected custom domains.

- Custom domain hostnames, DNS verification values, CNAME targets, verification status, and related setup data
- Access restriction settings, including whether a project is password protected and hashed password data needed to verify visitor access
- Anonymous upload tokens, claim records, expiration timestamps, and uploader IP hashes used for abuse prevention and temporary project handling
2.3 Usage, device, and request data
When you access bigtime.host or a hosted project, we may collect technical and activity information such as:
- IP address, user agent, host header, referrer, requested URL, and timestamps
- Session activity, authentication state, and security-relevant events
- Project bandwidth usage and file-serving activity

- Checkout metadata needed to associate a purchase with your account
- Limited customer and billing information returned by Polar, such as customer IDs, subscription status, billing amounts, currency, and invoice numbers
Payment card details are handled by Polar, not by bigtime.host directly. You can read Polar's privacy policy here.

- Operate project dashboards, file previews, file editing, and custom domains
- Verify access passwords and protect password-restricted projects
- Run billing, subscriptions, invoices, plan changes, and related account administration
- Provide support and respond to questions
- Monitor performance, debug failures, prevent abuse, and protect the service
- Enforce our Terms, including acceptable use restrictions
- Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes
4. Uploaded and Published Content
bigtime.host is a hosting service. Files you upload, files extracted from archives, edited file contents, and published project files are stored so they can be processed, previewed, edited, downloaded, and served to visitors.
Published projects may be publicly accessible on generated subdomains, custom domains, direct file URLs, preview URLs, or shared links. Anyone with access to a public URL may be able to view the associated content unless a supported access restriction is active.
Password protection restricts casual visitor access to a project, but no internet service can guarantee that a hosted file, shared URL, password, browser session, or cached copy will remain private in every circumstance.
5. How We Store and Protect Information
We store account records, project metadata, billing records, domain records, and activity records in application databases. We store uploaded, extracted, edited, and published files in S3-compatible object storage.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. How We Share Information
We may share information with service providers and partners that help us operate bigtime.host, including:
- S3-compatible storage providers for uploaded, extracted, and published files
- Infrastructure, database, DNS, certificate, and hosting providers
- Polar for billing, checkout, subscriptions, invoicing, and purchase administration
- Authentication and email delivery providers where needed for sign-in codes, account notices, email changes, deletion verification, and support-related messages
- Operational monitoring, security, and debugging providers where needed to keep the service reliable and secure
We may also share information:
- If required by law, legal process, or valid governmental request
- To protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of bigtime.host, our users, visitors, or others
- To investigate, prevent, or enforce against abuse or Acceptable Use violations
- As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, bankruptcy, or sale of assets
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
bigtime.host uses cookies and similar browser storage primarily to maintain secure signed-in sessions, support authentication, remember site access where password protection is enabled, and operate core product behavior.
If you block or delete those cookies, some account, project, or password-protected site features may stop working.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain personal data and hosted content for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain your account, serve published projects, process billing, protect the platform, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, or dispute resolution obligations.
Anonymous projects may expire and be deleted if they are not claimed. If you delete your bigtime.host account, we delete or queue deletion of associated owned data such as projects, project files, custom domain records, and related stored objects, and we revoke active sessions. We may retain limited records where necessary for legal, fraud-prevention, security, operational, backup, audit, billing, or dispute purposes.
If an account is deleted because of an Acceptable Use violation, we may retain records needed to investigate the violation, prevent repeat abuse, respond to lawful requests, or enforce our Terms.
9. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you.
You can also take some actions directly in the product, including:
- Updating account details and email settings
- Deleting projects and project files
- Changing or removing project access passwords
- Removing custom domain connections
- Deleting your account
To request access, correction, or deletion beyond what is available in the app, contact us at support@bigtime.host.
